I'm so tired of all the hate Eric gets. He's decent! Seriously, I actually like Eric. He isn't that bad. Seriously.

"He's a whimpy wuss!"
Uhh, you have no proof he's a "wuss." Is a guy who risks his life to save Ariel from the giagantic Ursula in dangerous waters a wuss? I think not. That takes courage.

"He's a pretty boy, too phony, nyaaahhh."
He isn't that pretty. He looks like any other Disney prince. The Beast's human form is more "bishie kawaii desuu" than Eric. For god's sake, it's not like Eric sparkles, dammit.

"He only loved Ariel for her voice."
Not really. In the beginning when he heard her, he only saw a little of her. He couldn't quite make out her entire face or hair color. When he saw her on the beach, he thought it could be her, but since she couldn't talk, he couldn't be sure. I'm sure he isn't the only one in the world who would mistake someone for another.

"He's too old for Ariel!"
You do realize that Eric's probably 18 or 19, right? Ariel is 16. 2-3 years age difference isn't that big of a deal. It's not like Eric is 35. He just happens to be well built for his age because...lessee...he does some heavy work on the ships!

I get so annoyed with Eric bashing. He's a great guy! They only hate him so they can pair Ariel up with Jim Hawkins. In my opinion, Jim is overrated.

Eric needs more love!
